Grace Nontsizi Sobayeni. I come from a family of teachers and am one too. For the past 4 years, I have been working as a teacher at Martin Luther primary school H. I unit ( hearing impaired) As a person living with a disability ( hearing loss)am able to communicate and teach children using sign language. I was fortunate to start a school earlier while doing my attachment and I later closed the school due to financial constraints.
Moving forward, my hope is that I will be able to work in a school where the rights or needs of children with disabilities are looked into. Hoping that I will be absorbed by the county. My future plans are to form a foundation to give the gift of hearing to children who cannot hear well by giving them affordable hearing aids.
